Big Creek Lake Chapel Wedding in Walden, Colorado

Where two hearts become one is a special place. The journey you take with your partner leads you to many wonderful places in this world. The supermarket where you first laid eyes. A party where you first met. The mysterious small town where the car broke down. That moment when you had a first kiss under the twinkling town lights. All of the moments collectively bring you towards where you’ll decide to marry your love. Juliet and Kurt chose Big Creek Lake Chapel in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of northern Colorado. A memory dear to the couple, when Kurt invited Juliet to go to his family’s favorite hunting spot. Ever since Kurt was a young boy his father brought him up to Walden, CO. Juliet and Kurt naturally fell in love with this little outdoor chapel alongside the crystal blue lake and decided to welcome their friends and family to join them in the great outdoors.

Juliet and Kurt DIY’d a gorgeous wooden cake stand, macramé backdrop, and succulent table settings. Juliet is really a master at baking, hair and make-up, crafts, fashion, you name it, so when she baked her own cake, did her own hair and make-up… I was amazed! Kurt is an amazing musician (Two Faces West) so you know, their playlist was on point.

When the sun went down and we slipped away to take sunset photos, the wind was cool and the bon fires began to light up surrounding campsites. Cautiously, I asked the couple if they’d like to get in the water… Juliet came prepared and was so willing to jump in and soak her gown only because… she waltzed out of the RV with an all white jumpsuit and large gold hoops that read, Ashmore.

Where will their journey take them next…
