Salida Pride!
I am so happy to have been selected as the official Salida Pride Photographer. This year, I was excited to offer FREE Pride Headshots to seniors, professionals, and families. Ivy Bencheck Portraits stands with the LGBTQIA+ community and supports the right to love who you want to love, be your authentic self, using your voice to create change, and marching for human rights! Pride 2022 marks 5 years since my mother has passed away and every year after her death I have pledged to offer free galleries for local families so they can forever cherish the love they have for one another, just like I have with my mother. In the past I offered Mother’s Day Minis, but from here on out were doing HAPPY HOUR HEAD SHOTS! If you missed me at Pride, don’t freak out! Shoot me an email and we’ll get you squared away looking professional as ever! This year we raised $500 and donated all of the proceeds to the Partnerships for Community Action (PfCA) in Salida, CO. The Partnership for Community Action is a grassroots movement of Queer and Trans people working towards liberation by amplifying our shared voice, building community, and connecting all LGBTQIA+ people, their families, and allies in rural Colorado. The PfCA acknowledges the injustices on the land and to the land’s Native Peoples where we live and work; the Nuchu (Utes), Inunalna (Arapahoe), Tsistsistas (Cheyenne), and they acknowledge and appreciate their stewardship and ancestral knowledge. The PfCA is actively working to find ways to appropriately recognize our access to these indigenous lands. To learn more on how to volunteer or donate to them, click HERE!
