Meet Ivy

I’m a photographer who’s been snapping shots since I could hold a camera—so basically, I’m a pro at catching people in their most unguarded (aka documentary), and goofy (aka candid) moments! Originally hailing from the cornfields of Iowa, I’ve traveled all over this country, perfecting my road trip snack game (seriously, I could teach a class on gas station cuisine). Now settled in beautiful colorful Colorado, I spend my days capturing the love and authentic personalities of my clients/ new buds, often while cracking stupid jokes to make you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, because if I’m acting a fool you’ll definitely not feel awkward. Long story short, I specialize in queer and non-traditional wedding and portrait photography because, let’s be honest, we don’t need to be put in a box—unless it’s a fun photo booth 😉! My Values

LGBTQIA+ & Inclusivity

I believe that knowledge is power and that being in the queer community doesn’t qualify me to be a person to be a safe space. It is important to me to work with vendors who are allies or queer owned. I also wanted to hear about other people’s experiences and work towards offering an inclusive and representing website. I decided to take a LGBTQ+ Cultural Fluency Training
(AKA Safe Zone Training) as a promise that I am a true safe space.

Diversity & Equity Pricing

I believe that equality isn’t enough. I decided that offering queer and BIPOC equity pricing was how I wanted to show my couples that I care, that they deserve to get married and express their love without having to make sacrifices. The wage gap shouldn’t exist, PERIOD.

Fun

I guarantee I make you laugh and feel totally loosey-goosey at your engagement session, during headshots, and especially on your wedding day. I value creating a memorable experience and your photographs are the proof.

Community + Giving back

I believe that everyone deserves to have professional imagery of moments in their life. After my mom passed away, the photographs meant more to me than any possession, she left behind. Every year I offer free photo shoots for Families and just recently offered Headshot Happy hour during Pride for queer folxs and families to have their love supported, their professional side shine, and a friend to support them!

I am always open to growth and if there is anything I can do better or offer my clients to make them feel safe and supported. If there is anything that I need to work on I’d love to hear it.
